Veteran's Homeless Shelter

new steps - Olivet and Stines.jpg

Our mission is to provide refuge, support, and a sense of belonging to veterans in need. Join us in our journey of compassion and service to those who served us.

Purpose

Our Mission Statement:

To bring the “good news”, the gospel of Jesus Christ to the humble and afflicted; to bind up the wounds of the brokenhearted, to proclaim release from confinement and condemnation to the physical and spiritual captives… (Isaiah 61:1-3 (KJV&AMP)

To provide temporary housing to homeless veterans, assist with work opportunities or placement, help obtain financial assistance (food stamps, VA Disability, Social Security, SSI, and other assistance), provide transportation to appointments, offer literacy classes, help prepare for High School equivalency, finance/budgeting classes, resume’ building, and laundry facilities.

To provide clothing and personal need items, food (7 days a week), partner with food banks, pantries, and ministries to help feed and clothe the homeless or those in need.

American Flags

Brother Burton "Burt" Stigen began this mission in 1986. Since his passing in 2021, his wife, Denise, has taken on the role of Director and works diligently to continue Brother Burt's legacy.
